The logo
Fern is English for Aya. Aya is also an ‘Adinkra’ which symbolises endurance and resourcefulness. The fern is a hardy plant that can grow in difficult places (Willis, The Adinkra Dictionary). For us, Aya (Fern) represents the story that gender advocacy has endured many adversities and outlasted much difficulty therefore there is an inexhaustible hope to achieve the objectives of a gender equal society.
